Erasmus Project Parents for Inclusion 2022-2023
From January 2022 to December 2023, AEF Bonn took on the role of coordinating institution for the ERASMUS Plus project EPSPI ‘Parents for Inclusion’, which was carried out in close cooperation with partners from Hungary, Italy and Spain.
This project combined two closely related topics: early childhood education and ensuring children's educational success. It was launched against the backdrop of a systemic pattern of social disadvantage and discrimination in all EU countries, including Germany, Spain, Italy and Hungary.
Based on the experiences of the participating partner organisations, the EPSPI project was launched to develop a common transnational empowerment methodology for socio-educational work with socially disadvantaged parents for early childhood support.
Five partner organisations from four European countries (Germany, Spain, Hungary and Italy) were selected for their experience, scientific background, expertise in supporting specific target groups or complementary approaches. The results of this project can be found on this website under ‘Publications’.
What did some of the participating partners say?
‘At the beginning I wasn't so positive, but what surprised me is that the methods we learned and tested work’ (Nestingplay).
‘Expectations were more than fulfilled, much more than we had thought, because it not only improved our work with parents, but also enabled us to learn a lot from other organisations. It was an exchange of good practices of things done in other organisations. We expected this from the project and it was a very interesting experience.’ (Red Incola)
‘Yes, our expectations were fully met. [...] we are incorporating into our work what we have learned from the other partners’ (ASRP).
